Well that was a busy day! On Saturday afternoon, Edel swam her mile like a boss. She had to take it easy as we had a second challenge later in the day, but she still got in and out of the water in under 40 mins. Absolutely brilliant and her smooth style in the water was a lesson for how we need to approach something as demanding as a full year of challenges.
Edel then slowed down long enough for me to catch her for a 10k race from Greystones to Bray along the clifftop path http://gaelforceevents.com/en/bray-10km-cliff-run
She didn't slow down too much though, she crossed the line ahead of me. I should have made her swim two miles. This coming weekend we're on to challenge 6, the Cooley Legends Half Marathon, a 21.1k race along the Táin Way through the Cooley Mountains. We'll let you know how it goes, by which I mean how big a margin Edel beats me by this time.
Thanks for all your sponsorship so far, our challenging weekend also took your donations over the €500 mark and over 25% of our target. Please keep it coming and please keep sharing what we're doing, Pieta House is more in demand than ever before and they need all the support we can possibly give them for their incredible work. Thanks very much!
