After such a busy 2017, we could justify a quieter 2018, but we're not going to, we've too much to do. We'll start in January with a climbing and skiing trip to Scotland, in March one or both of us will be running the inaugural Tom Crean 50k ultra in Kerry in honour of the great man, then both of us will run the Cooley Legends Half Marathon, a great race we both enjoyed last year. Our training for those events will be a little unusual as we'll be pulling tyres over the hills to get ready, because in April we fly to Norway to complete a ski crossing of Hardangervidda. It's a legendary training venue for polar explorers like Amundsen and Shackleton and we're continuing our progress towards standing on the shoulders of those giants.
May will see us training for the 26Extreme Mourne Way Marathon in early June. It's a fantastic race and we're looking forward to it. A few weeks after that we will head to the alps. Targets will depend on weather, but among other things we have a score to settle with Mont Blanc and an eye on the Matterhorn if conditions allow. For August, we will be back in the Mourne Mountains training for the Mourne Mountain Marathon, one of the longest established and most loved events of its kind.
Our plans after that are less certain as we're waiting for a decision on someone else's expedition, but our choices are either polar, long, or high, so rest assured, it'll be good.

Hopefully we'll have some photos worth looking at and some stories worth telling you, so, please, keep following!
Thanks, Kevin and Edel.
